After its conference in Paris, the EACWP staff welcomed a new member in the association: the Portuguese school of Lisbon, Escrever Escrever. The partnership of the association currently brings together 14 members
Along with the regular literary fields (narrative, poetry, theater and all its possible focuses and genders interbreeding) Escrever Escrever hosts a diversity of courses involving writing in a wider sight: writing and recording audiobooks (for children and teenagers), sports journalism, song lyrics, writing for films, TV, social networks and even writing focused on funding proposals, academic and scientific texts. However, the mainstream of the courses are irrelevant to basic training, knowledge or age. What renders indeed important to the school and what constantly underlines is just the desire to write.
The current challenges and efforts of the Portuguese school are fully concentrated on working to develop new on line courses and obtaining an academic government certificate. Also, as Conceição Garcia expressed in the meeting of members in Paris, Escrever Escrever wishes to bring a saudade feel to the EACWP.
